For eight seasons on Castle (2009–2016), she embodied Detective Kate Beckett: whip-smart, fiercely independent, emotionally layered, and impossible not to root for. It was a role that redefined the modern female investigator—not a sidekick, not a stoic stereotype, but a woman whose strength came from vulnerability as much as from steel.

In Absentia (2017–2020), Katic stepped even deeper into psychological territory.
